Mary E. Harris' Obituary
Mary E. Harris, 87, of Memphis, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, January 4, 2009, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was an active member of Macon Road Church of Christ and was retired from Glankler-Brown Law Firm, Memphis, after 49 years. She enjoyed growing flowers, cooking, fishing and helping to raise two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellie J. “Happy” Harris; two brother and two sisters. Mary leaves her son, Danny Harris and daughter-in-law Pat Harris; grandson Chad Harris; granddaughter Melissa Gerkovich; three great-grandchildren all of Memphis and her sister, Sara Nell Kee of McKenzie, TN.Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery.The service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at Macon Road Church of Christ with entombment at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery Main Mausoleum.In lieu of flowers the family request memorials are sent to Macon Road Church of Christ.
