Mary Helen Winters Hargrove, 89, passed away February 6, 2017. Mrs. Hargrove served her country as a Cadet Nurse in the U.S. Army during WWII. After her service in the Army, she continued her nursing career at the VA Hospital. Mrs Read Obituary

Don and Susan,I’m so sorry to her about your mother. I tried to see her last year, but missed her since she was out with her family having fun. We got a Christmas card from her as we have as long as I can remember. I always loved hearing from her. She was a very special Aunt, and was the longest surviving. She will be missed. Love you all. My Mom was always doing nice things for me. One day she took me to Audubon Park’s lake to fish off the pier there. She carried the Sunday paper for herself. The day was very sunny and hot. I fished while she napped. When we were ready to leave she stood up and had the colored funny papers printed all over her legs. I thought this was the funniest thing I’d ever seen. I don’t remember her reaction, but I don’t think she thought it was as funny as I did. –Donald Hargrove
