Mary Dubach Grinnell's Obituary
Marie ‘Mary’ Phyllis Dubach Grinnell, 95, passed away on January 29, 2022. She was born on October 11, 1926 in Wheeling West Virginia. She lived a full life as a wife, daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, great- grandmother and homemaker. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Schlitz Bowling League, camping and was a member of Memphis Queen Campers, knitting, and vacationing. She was a member of the senior group at the Church of the Resurrection and fun group at the Church of the Holy Spirit and volunteered her time preparing meals for Martha’s Meals at Queen of Peace Catholic Church. But her passion was cooking and spending time with her family. Mary was preceded in death by her first husband Melvin Dubach of 48 years and her parents Domenic and Rose Perretta, her three brothers Fred, Leonard, and Phillip Perretta. She leaves behind her husband Allan Grinnell of 21 years, three children, Rosemary Batts (Bill), Patricia Black, and John Dubach (Mary Ann), five grandchildren, Christine Peterson(Heath), Kenneth Batts (Anna), Carrie Anderson (Mark), Terry Black and Joseph Black, eight precious great-grandchildren Jack, Daylon, Jared, Luke, Shiloh, Bryce, Ellen and Lilyana. She also leaves seven Grinnell step children and a host of grand and great-grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from five o’clock until seven o’clock in the evening with a Rosary service at seven o’clock on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Poplar Avenue. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 10, at Ten o’clock in the morning, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Olive Branch MS. 662-895-5007.
