Mary Evelyn Goodwin's Obituary
Mary Evelyn Goodwin, 92, of Germantown, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025. She was born on June 2, 1933. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Evelyn Trammell also her beloved husband Hubert Paul Goodwin. She is survived by her 2 sisters Rose Marie Hill of Memphis and Elizabeth (Betty) McCormick of San Jose, CA. Mary Evelyn attended Central High School. She graduated from the University of Memphis. She held a B.S. and M.S. degrees. She taught in the Elementary Schools of the Memphis City Schools. In her later years she served there as a Guidance Counselor. She continued there until Retirement. She was active in the Methodist Church, first at Madison Heights until its closure. She then attended St. Lukes Methodist Church. She is cherished by many nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews many special friends and former students.
The family request in lieu of any flowers, any memorials be made to St. Luke's Methodist Church. A private graveside service for the family will be held at a later date.
