Mary "Lib" E. Davis' Obituary
Mary Elizabeth Spencer “Lib” Davis, 93, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2011 at Baptist Hospital Memphis. She was born in Toledo, OH on April 10, 1918, to George and Mary Spencer and was a graduate of the University of Toledo. Lib was a member of Evergreen Presbyterian Church, the American Association of University Women and the Booklovers Club. She served as secretary of Woodland Presbyterian and First Congregational Churches. Preceded in death by her husband Milton H. Davis, she leaves two daughters, Carolyn Mizne (Joel) and Beth Bowman (Peter) of Memphis. In addition she has three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. A memorial service will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Friday, September 30 with visitation preceding the service at 9:30 a.m. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association of Tennessee, One Vantage Way, Suite D-22, Nashville, TN 37228.
