Mary Madeline Duffee's Obituary
Family came first for Mary. Her children—(Patrick, Michael, Kathleen Ayerdis, Paul, Daniel, Jeaninne Holloway, Hilary, and Ryan)—knew her endless love every single day.
(Mary Madeline Duffee) was born on May 1st, 1941 in Memphis, Tennessee, and she passed away there on May 8th, 2026 after a brief illness. Memphis was both her starting point and her homecoming.
Kind, supportive, honest, compassionate, loving, and generous, Mary guided her family with love and strength. These qualities shaped every choice she made.
Mary loved the lake and many of our memories go back to her taking all of the kids to the lake to spend the summer when school was out. She loved the beach. Just sitting for hours watching the waves and feeding the sea gulls. She loved to watch her birds. She loved a good shopping day and any good sale. She loved to take a long, hot bath and read a good mystery book.
She is now reunited with her husband, (Parks E Duffee), and with loved ones who went before her: her parents (Amelia and Joseph Harvill), her siblings (Joe, Steve, and Lillian), her daughter (Erin Roubidoux), her granddaughter (Amelia Foulks), and her daughter-in-law (Calissa Kneip). Their memories stay close to us.
Those of us who remain carry her light forward—Patrick, Michael (Krista) Kathleen (Guillermo) Paul (Alissa) Daniel, Jeaninne (Bill), Hilary, Ryan and 9 wonderful grandchildren. Each of will carry her memory and love with us every day going forward.
We will keep honoring Mary by living with the same kindness and generosity she showed every day.
Graveside service for Mary will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at 2:00pm in Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive family and friends for visitation an hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00pm in Memorial Park Funeral Home.
