Mary Dotson's Obituary
Mary Jane Dotson, 86, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2012. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday, November 16 and the funeral service 11:30 a.m. Saturday, November 17 all at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Mrs. Dotson, the widow of James R. Dotson, is survived by her children, Jim (Shelia) Dotson, Carol (Bill) Overcast, and Richard (Cindy) Dotson; sisters, Lena Jordan and Lucille Hoover; grandchildren, Sean, Shelby, Andy, Dean, Haley, and Barr; and a great grandchild, Gabe. Mary Jane was an active member of Schoolfield Methodist Church. After her retirement from Sears, she enjoyed working at the Women’s Exchange, traveling and working in her flower beds. She loved telling jokes and making others laugh. Most recently, she enjoyed the loving care of the staff at Carriage Court of Memphis. The family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
