Mary E. White Deckelman's Obituary
Mary E. White Deckelman, 92, of Collierville, TN stepped into eternity on Friday, March 12, 2021.
She was born on September 9, 1928 in Fountain Hill, AR to Grover and Dollie White. She married the love of her life William Conlyn Deckelman on August 1, 1947. They raised two daughters together Linda and Susan. Mary had a passion for her church, family, friends, and Chic Fil A. She was a charter member of Cherokee Baptist Church. Mrs. Deckelman organized the grief support group at Cherokee Baptist Church. She presently attended church at Collierville First Baptist. Mary taught kindergarten for numerous years.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Conlyn, her parents Grover and Dollie, her siblings James, Maxine and Elsie.
Mrs. Deckelman is survived by daughters, Linda Trainor (Danny) of Winston Salem, NC, and Susan Kennedy (Steve) of Collierville, TN. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, Kristy Mayes (Kent) of King, NC, Jason Kennedy (Melissa) of Olive Branch, MS, Kelly Kirk (Brandon) of Wake Forest, NC, Jamie Greenwood (Michael) of Byhalia, MS, Kory Trainor (Kori) of Clemmons, NC. She has ten great grandchildren, Jordan, Karsyn, Kyleigh Britt, Brayden, Sophie, Eleanor, Sullivan, Cohen, Carter, and Hannah. Extended family Gail, Tiffany, and Dustin. Mary Deckelman will be laid to rest on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
