Mary Chandler's Obituary
Mary McClure Chandler, 100, of Memphis, TN passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2017. She was born February 12, 1917 to Maxwell Dorr McClure, Sr. and Ethel Bryan McClure. Mary worked as an administrative assistant for P.C. Clarke Insurance Company for 30 years. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School. She enjoyed travelling to the beach. Mary was preceded by her husband, Edwin Taylor Chandler; parents, Maxwell Dorr McClure, Sr. and Ethel Bryan McClure; brother, Maxwell Dorr McClure, Jr.; and grandson, Craig Coletta. She leaves to mourn her memory and celebrate her life four children, Claudette Coletta (Robert), Marian Shikles, Taylor Chandler (Linda), and Suzanne Porter (Stevan); nine grandchildren, Pat Holman (Greg), Careen Thillen (Tom), Janet Melillo (Mike), Greg Houston, Rusty Chandler (Allison), Jason Chandler, Tania Bandy (Gene), Brittany Walker (Rob), and Brooke Nichols (Charles); 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, April 5 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 6 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please send donations in Mary’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
