Mary Elizabeth "Betty Lady" Haney's Obituary
On May 25, 2019, Mary Elizabeth “Betty Lady” Haney, loving mother and wife, passed away at the age of 73 in Mesa, Arizona.Mary was born January 29, 1946 to Mary and Richard Lady in Memphis, Tennessee. Known by the nickname “Betty” for much of her early life, she was a Messick student for all 12 years and went on to study at Memphis State University. Known as Mary to most of her work friends, she worked as a corporate tax examiner at the Memphis IRS facility, went on to explore her passion for photography through custom photo finishing and wedding photography, and finally enjoyed a 20-year career with American Airlines in Arizona.Mary’s hobbies included photography, drawing and painting, liberal politics, southern cooking, a love of movies and tv, and all things Basset Hound. She could often be heard quoting a favorite movie and laughing at the memory.
