Marvin Harris' Obituary
MARVIN WILLIER HARRIS, 87, of Cordova, peacefully went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 12, 2011. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time at 2:30 p.m., Friday, April 15 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum. Mr. Harris was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church and Yokefellows Sunday School Class, retired from Halstead Industry-Wynne, AR, WWII Navy veteran, avid Memphis Tiger basketball, St. Louis Cardinals baseball and Arkansas Razorback fan. He was dearly loved by his family and will be missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Ethel Harris, one sister, Helen Nace and three brothers, LaVerne Harris, Verlin Harris and an infant brother. Mr. Harris leaves his wife of 66 years, Rosemary F. Harris; one son, Mark W. Harris (Beth) of Cordova; one granddaughter, Abigail E. Harris, and two sisters, Carol McClure of Bloomfield, Iowa and Vera Hancock of Marshalltown, Iowa. Memorials may be made to Love Worth Finding.
