We were honored to be included in Marty's family celebrations at Christmas and his great superbowl parties. We also got to enjoy many of his birthday celebrations thanks to his wonderful wife Linda. Some of the best times were had cheering on the Memphis Tigers Football Team with Marty, Linda and Charles. One thing to be said for Marty, he was excited about everything football and family. His enthusiasm and joy were contagious. He made sure everyone was included resulting in no long faces when he was around. His love for his family and church is inspiring for this Army veteran. He took my good natured teasing about him being a Navy veteran (is that even really military?) He never forgot to say Happy Birthday, Happy Veterans day or Merry Christmas to me every year since we met 17 years ago. May God Bless you Linda, Charles, Jessica, Katherine, Marc, Tom, Jhan, Elaine, Amy and Erik. Thank you all for sharing your husband, dad, son, brother, uncle, and soldier with Randy and I. His life may have been cut short but his memory will certainly be brought up, chuckled about fondly for many years to come. Best wishes!
