I met Dr Shea at 14 years old. My parents sought his consultation after a disappointing surgery and relationship with his Uncle, John. Our experience with Coyle was healing, warm and full of confidence. He was my Dr for over 30 years and performed 3 successful surgeries both in adolescence and my adult life. I trusted him completely, respected him immensely and liked him deeply. I can only hope and believe that his reward will be great in heaven with such a heart of service. I never met Dr Shea, but his influence on my family and my birthplace was so great. My thoughts and prayers are with all who loved him. May his memory always be a blessing.
I was a teacher at a Shelby County School in late 1990. I had a student with severe hearing loss in my classroom. He was struggling in class because of his hearing loss. The young boy needed a operation but the family was poor and had no insurance. The guidance counselor and I worked with Dr. Shea’s clinic and got the operation done for free thanks to Dr. Shea. The young boy was so excited to hear normally and his grades got so much better. I will forever remember Dr. Shea’s love and kindness. It made such a difference in this young boy’s life. He was a wonderful person and doctor. My condolences to the family. May God give you peace and comfort as Dr. Shea lives on in the patients he helped. God bless you
