Martha Walter's Obituary
Martha A. Walter, 91 of Memphis, TN passed away November 2, 2017. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and worked in the retail business in the Memphis area for many years, working at Casual Corner, Julius Lewis and Dillards. Martha resided at the Mary Galloway Home and enjoyed every day of it. A lot of people never knew the many names Martha had and went by, such as Butch, Mathy, Sug, Blonde, Blizzard, Mama and Granny. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Grady Walter; one sister and three brothers. Martha is survived by her daughter Diane Turk (Vernon); sisters, Jean Gingery, Catherine Cook; brothers, Harold Owen, Walter Owen; grandson Wes McAlexander (Casey); two great grandsons, Weston McAlexander and Cannon McAlexander. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 6 from 1 pm until service time at 2 pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Mary Galloway Home or the charity of the donor’s choice..
