Martha Maxine Thweatt Tong's Obituary
Mrs. Martha Maxine Thweatt Tong age 88 of Cordova, Tennessee passed away on August 10, 2023 in Collierville, Tennessee.
She was born on December 21, 1934 in Paris, Mississippi to the late Edward Earl Thweatt and Gladys Cleo King Thweatt.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Tom and a daughter, Lisa Sutton.
Survivors include four sons, Mike Tong (Miriam) of Cordova, Tennessee, Chris Tong (Denise) of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, Paul Tong (Dena) of Moscow, Tennessee and Patrick Tong (Kathy) of Bartlett, Tennessee and one daughter, Cynthia Walker (Jeff) of Jackson, Tennessee. Other survivors include ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Servings as pallbearers will be CJ Tong, Greg Walker, Kevin Tong, Drew Tong, Brad Sutton, Brian Sutton, Eli Tong and Jeff Walker.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 1:00 p.m at First Chinese Baptist Church, with Pastor Vincent Choi, officiating. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service starting at 12:00p.m. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
