Martha Wade Strickland's Obituary
Martha Wade “Bop” Strickland, 82, passed away at her home December 17, 2015. She was born January 15, 1933 in Holcut MS and graduated from Corinth High School. She was a member of Germantown Church of Christ. Martha was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Harold Strickland; one sister, Betty Walker and two brothers, Bill and Bingham Wade. She is survived by two sons, Tim (Rita) Strickland of Gallatin, TN and Scott Strickland of Germantown; one granddaughter, Madeline Blair Strickland also of Gallatin, TN; one sister, Evelyn Claiborne of Dyersburg, TN; two nieces and five nephews and her beloved friend, Jane Bush. The family will receive friends from 4-8 pm on Sunday, December 20 and a funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, December 21 all at Memorial Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be sent to Agape or the charity of your choice.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119. “Celebrating Life… Behind the Stone Wall” Obituary information will be made available when provided.
