Martha Johnson's Obituary
Martha Hill Johnson, 84, passed away on June 16. Mrs. Johnson was born in Covington, TN and moved to Memphis during World War II where she worked for Navy Recruiting and the Defense Depot before serving as an administrative assistant for the Federal Aviation Administration. She attended Bible Study Fellowship and was a member of Independent Presbyterian Church. Her greatest joy was her family whom she loved unconditionally. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her daughter, Rose Johnson Garrett (Ed), her grandchildren, Katie Harris (Stuart), Andy and Cristen Garrett, a great-granddaughter, Louise Harris, and a niece and nephews. Visitation will be at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Friday, June 19 from 5-7pm. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 20 at 11am in the chapel at Independent Presbyterian Church. The family requests memorials be sent to Independent Presbyterian Church, St. Mary’s Episcopal School, or Memphis University School.
