Martha Elizabeth Harris (nee. Eoff)'s Obituary
Martha Elizabeth Harris (nee. Eoff), “Beth”, died peacefully at the Memphis Jewish Home facility in Cordova, TN at the age of 87.
Beth is survived by her husband WIliam A. “Bill” Harris of Germantown, TN; her children Steven (Caroline) Harris of Sarasota FL; Joyce (Bobby) Jones of Broken Arrow, OK; and David (Savanna) Harris of Olive Branch, MS. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer Clyde and Lillian Elise “Dollie” Eoff, and her brother Homer C Eoff III.
Beth was born on March 8, 1934 in Memphis, TN. Beth married William “Bill” Harris on February 25, 1955. Beth was a Homemaker until 1975 when she and Bill opened Harris Pharmacy and Gift Store in Bartlett, TN. They worked side by side until they sold their business.
Beth will be remembered as a faithful Christian, a welcoming host and a great cook. She enjoyed home decorating, gardening, and sewing. Beth was a long time member of Germantown Baptist Church and most recently a member of Collierville Bible Church.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, August 5 from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue in Memphis. Pastor Nick Brown will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Beth’s life.
