MARTHA WRIGHT “Marty” “Day” DICKERSON, 80, of Memphis, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend passed away on July 18, 2010. She was born on July 18, 1930 in Memphis, TN. Mrs. Dickerson was a retired administrator from Memphis City Schools and a member of Wesleyan United Methodist Church. She was an artist, enjoyed golfing, reading, stamping, and spending a lot of time with her family and friends. She was a true friend to her granddaughters and their friends spending time with them doing art and many other hobbies. Mrs. Dickerson was a very kind, creative, loving, generous person. She believed in truly loving her family and her friends. She is preceded in death by her brothers Enoch, Paul, and Bill Wright. She is survived by her husband of 38 years Robert Dickerson, her daughter Tracy Lenti Crump(Lee) of Atlanta, GA, her son Peter Mark Lenti of Gillette, WY, her granddaughters Tasheena M. Lenti of Seattle, WA, Amber r. Lenti of Gillette, WY, Paige M. Laurie of Memphis, and Hailey S. Laurie of Atlanta, GA. She also leaves four beloved nieces Anne, Sharon, Rebecca, and Kim. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be sent to the Banks.
