Martha E. Davis' Obituary
Martha E. Davis, 87, of Memphis, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2019. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Horace L Davis, a son, James Davis, parents, Viola and Omar Teague, and siblings, James, Kelsie, Raymond, Margie and Dorothy. Mrs. Davis is survived by her two daughters, Susan Earl and Sharon Tyler, seven grandchildren, Katie Outlaw, James Simpson, Aaron Roberts, Jeremy Simpson, Christopher Grant Earl, Nicholas Varner, and Justin Varner and three great-grandchildren, Ava, Eason James, and Shelby Ray Lynn. Mrs. Davis was a member at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She retired from South Central Bell. She loved to read, cross-stich, quilt and care for animals. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, April 5, 2019 from 1:30 pm until the funeral service at 2:30pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Avenue in Memphis. The burial will be held on Friday, April 19th at 2pm at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene in Memphis.
