Martha Hamilton Boswell's Obituary
MARTHA HAMILTON BOSWELL, 93 On August 25, 2014, there was a great reunion in heaven, when she joined her husband of 48 years, Joe V. Boswell. She was a Girl Scout leader and troop consultant, a member of Second Presbyterian Church since 1952, ran, single handedly, the Boswell School for Exceptional Children, enjoyed traveling in her Airstream, playing bridge, square dancing, church circle and family. She is survived by 3 children, Joe Boswell of Bartlett, TN, Martha DeVasher of Plano, TX, and Susan Gooch of Arkabutla, MS; 4 grandchildren, Vince and Ken Boswell, Preston McQuigg, and Gerald Thom and 6 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 29 from 5-7 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will have a private graveside service on Saturday, August 30. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations can be made to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital or Second Presbyterian Church.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, “Behind the Stone Wall.”
