Martha Hellums Belt's Obituary
Martha (Hellums) Belt, 83, went home to be with our Lord on January 16th 2022.
Martha was born October 12th, 1938 in Memphis, Tennessee. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles "Sonny" Belt, four children: Jere Ben Cooper (Sheryl), James "Bubba" Cooper (Lanier), Sally Belt, Charlie Belt, nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and her sister Joann (Bob) Wood
Mama will always be remembered for her smile, her laugh, and how much she truly loved all her friends. Our hearts are broken but we know you are at peace.
Mama, we love you and thank you so much for the love you shared and the life lessons you taught us.
The family will welcome friends beginning at 4:30 p.m. and her Celebration of Life will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday January 26th at Memorial Park Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held on Thursday at Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Mama would love for a donation to be made in honor of her granddaughter Alexis and her husband Sonny to the American Diabetes Association.
