Mark Randal "Randy" Aviotti's Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Randy Aviotti (66) announces his passing on June 19, 2021. Randy will always be remembered for his untethered optimism, sense of humor, and his dynamic personality. He was a stranger to none and a friend to everyone.
Randy was born on June 10, 1955. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Aviotti. He is survived by his daughter Christina Marie Aviotti, his brothers Phillip Aviotti (Laura), Michael Aviotti (Jennifer), and his sister Sherry Wilkes (Larry). Uncle Randy will also be remembered by his many nieces and nephews as well as his many friends.
Randy attended Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic grade school and then went on to graduate from Christian Brothers High School in 1973. His lifelong working career was in the freight and trucking business. There he advanced from an over-the-road driver to executive freight sales and brokerage. He was an excellent and avid golfer - playing with his younger brother Phillip over the past 54 years starting at the age of 10. He loved everything and anything to do with the outdoors - grilling, chilling, and entertaining friends. He loved music, especially the Blues, often playing and practicing on his guitar. He was a lifelong University of Memphis Tigers fan and member of Tiger Lane. Randy was excited to attend as many football and basketball games as he could.
He held true to his Italian heritage, loving the times he spent cooking Italian family recipes with his brothers. Randy was especially endeared to his daughter Christina. She was the apple of his eye and enjoyed spending every moment he could with her.
Randy will always be loved and cherished by his family and friends. His lively spirit and humorous deeds will keep us laughing forever.
There will be a memorial visitation on Friday, June 25 from five o'clock in the afternoon until seven o'clock in the evening at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue in Memphis. Guest are asked to follow current CDC guidelines and to practice social distancing.
