Marjorie H. Mommsen's Obituary
Marjorie H. Mommsen, 94, died October 13, 2013. Marjorie was born in Memphis, TN on June 23, 1919 to A.L. and Buena Vista Hall and was a graduate of Memphis Tech High School. She was a receptionist and bookkeeper for several pediatricians, lastly for Laila Kassees, M.D. of Bartlett Children’s Clinic. Marjorie was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Sloat; brothers, Walter J. Hall and Richard E. Hall and is survived by her daughter, Dr. Linda White of Winston Salem, N.C.; grandchildren, Jessica Sloat, Blair Sloat, her daughter Elyse Sloat, Suzanne White, Amy White, and Gennifer White; sister-in-laws, Jean Hall and Joyce Hall; three great grandchildren; six nieces and one nephew. Marjorie was a member of Colonial Park United Methodist Church, a member of The Kings Daughters, and a volunteer for Senior Service at St. Francis Hospital. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until the graveside service begins at 11:30 a.m. Friday, October 18 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery.
