Marion Beard Dougan's Obituary
Marion Beard Dougan (Grandma), 91, passed away November 30, 2017. She was born on December 7, 1925 in Memphis, TN. Marion graduated from South Side High School and throughout her career Marion worked for Standard Oil, Goldsmith’s Department Store, University of Memphis and Dinsthul’s Fine Candies. She was a member of Kennedy Book Club and Pilot Club of Shelby Co. and a long time member of Whitehaven Presbyterian Church. Marion loved her family, friends, a good game of bridge and bunco, the University of Memphis Tigers and the Grizzlies. She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Dougan; mother, Aileen Ogilvie and father, Carl Beard. Marion is survived by her children, Vicki Dougan Jamieson and Ron Dougan (Gayle); grandchildren, Tracy Dougan Lombardo (Larry), Kelly Dougan Hammontree (Chad) and Jennifer Jamieson and great granddaughter, Miller Hammontree. Her memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 2 at in the Trippeer Chapel at Idlewild Presbyterian Church, where she was presently a member. The family will receive friends immediately following her service in the TK Young room.
