Marilyn Stewart Jackson's Obituary
Marilyn Stewart Jackson, 89, passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on Friday, June 19, 2026, in Germantown, Tennessee. Marilyn was the daughter of Marion McNeil and Ora Mae Lee Stewart. She was born on June 21, 1936 in Memphis, Tennessee. Marilyn graduated from Central High School in Memphis, attended the University of Tennessee, and graduated from Baylor University Hospital in Dallas, Texas as a Medical Technologist, and then worked as a Medical Technologist for Campbell’s Clinic in Memphis. Marilyn married the love of her life Thurman “Buddy” Jackson on September 19, 1963. They were married 62 years. In addition to raising her three children, Marilyn served as Moderator of Presbyterian Women and as an Elder at Raleigh Presbyterian Church and Grace Presbyterian Church. Marilyn was most recently a member of Second Presbyterian Church in Memphis. Marilyn is survived by her husband Buddy; her children Trey (Cathy), Jason (Meg), and Melissa; grandchildren Ian, Kes, Brannoc, Tori, and Anjali; and three great grandchildren.
The most important things in her life were church and family. Her life was centered around service helping others, with her faith as the foundation. There has never been a kinder or more giving and genuine person. Her smile lit up every room, and her warmth shone on every person lucky enough to meet her!
