Marilyn, you were a wonderful mother and wife, and a beautiful lady. I will always remember you as a gracious “Southern Belle”. Your passing is truly “the end of an era.” I am so grateful to the excellent example you and Robert have both given to all of us–an example of great character, endearing love, faithfulness in the face of tremendous difficulties, and taking care of one’s own responsibilities (no matter what may come). Robert’s love and loyalty to you during your long illness is the best example I have ever seen of a person truly laying down his own life for another. These last days were so beautiful and special watching how Robert loved and cared for you–his “Baby Doll”– to the very end. We respect and love you both so much. Thank you so much for the wonderful example you have set for your grandchildren. . . I am honoured to have been your daughter-in-law the past 27 years!
