Marie Baucum's Obituary
Marie Willis Baucum, age 95, passed away on Monday, May 2, 2016. The youngest of three siblings, she was born on April 5, 1921 to Frank J. and Annie Sue Willis in rural West Tennessee. After completing high school, she moved to Memphis and worked for Branyan and Peterson Lumber Company until she married her late husband Charles on April 1, 1956. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was loved by all, and adored her grandchildren, Wesley and Stephanie. She is survived by her son Steve and his wife Carol, as well as her grandchildren. She was an active and long time member of Christ United Methodist Church. Visitation with the family will begin at 12 p.m. until her service begins at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family requests that memorials be sent to Madonna Learning Center or Christ United Methodist Church.Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119. “Celebrating Life… Behind the Stone Wall”
