Margie L. Bishop's Obituary
Margie L. Bishop, 85, of Collierville, Tn. Passed away on May 10th, 2023. After a lengthy illness,
GOD called her home.
Margie was born in 1937 to John and Minnie Cromwell Sr. in Memphis, TN.
She graduated from Frayser High School. Margie worked at the Army Corps of Engineers for
27 years and retired in 2001. During her tenure, she was promoted several times due to her
hard work and dedication and became Chief of Computer Operations. After retiring, she loved going Trout Fishing and traveling out West.
In 2001, Margie married Roger Bishop Sr., and together they have 4 children, 9 Grand Children, and
4 Great Grand Children.
Daughter Leslie and Husband Devin Allen, Son Paul and Wife Cathy Hisky,, Son, Roger Bishop, Jr. and
wife Tricia, Daughter, Sherrie and Husband Chris Vick.
She is survived by her husband Roger Bishop Sr. and her sibling John Cromwell Jr. and wife Mary Ann.
We have lost a beautiful gentle soul and she will be missed by all that knew her, but our loss is
Heaven's gain. She will always be loved until we meet again in Heaven.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, May 16 at 12:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. all in the Riverside Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
