Margaret (Peggy) Arnold Barmer
Peggy Arnold Barmer, age 93, went home to be with the Lord on October 14, 2023, after a blessed and full life. Peggy was born to the late John Elam Trusty and Grace Newkirk Trusty on March 21, 1930, in Greenwood, Mississippi. Peggy met the love her life, Howard (Pete) Dyer Arnold, and they were married in 1952. Peggy and Pete were long time members of All Saint’s Episcopal Church where they raised their family. They had a wonderful life until his passing in 1997. Peggy met William (Bill) A. Barmer and they were married in 2010 when they realized God had put them together. Peggy and Bill attended Colonial Baptist Church and had a blessed life together until Bill’s death in 2020.
Peggy is survived by her two children, Mark L. Arnold (Mary Anna) of Paducah, KY and Loretta G. Beard (James) of Memphis. She is also survived by four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, October 18 at 3:00pm at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family request memorials be sent to Colonial Baptist Church or the charity of their choice.
