Margaret Norvell Sinclair's Obituary
Margaret Norvell Sinclair, 88, widow of James C. Sinclair, Memphis Policeman of 35 years and WWII veteran of the China-Burma-India Theater (1939-1949), passed away October 31, 2014. She was born in Crockett County, TN, the daughter of Jennings Bryan Norvell and Sarah Alice Crisp of Gallaway-Braden, Fayette County, TN. She leaves a son, Brad Sinclair; daughter Carol Sinclair Lee (Jeff); and granddaughter, Katie Sinclair Lee, all of Memphis. She also leaves a sister, Betty Cole of Memphis; sister-in-law, Shirley Norvell and family of Jackson, TN; and sister, Helen Norvell of Texas. She was predeceased by her mother and father; son, Rob Sinclair; and brothers, Franklin Norvell and Bryan Norvell, Jr. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Colonial Dames, Ridgeway Baptist Church, and Tennessee Genealogical Society. She was a much loved wife, mother, and friend. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. to be followed by graveside services at 2 p.m., Monday, November 3 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. The family requests that memorial donations be sent to the Memphis Union Mission located at 383 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN 38105 or Metropolitan Inter-Faith Association located at 910 Vance Ave, Memphis, TN 38126.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, “Behind the Stone Wall.”
