Margaret K. Kilby Schoenberg's Obituary
Margaret Kilby Schoenberg passed away Monday, February 27, 2012. Born in Greenville, MS and grew up in Indianola, she graduated from Indianola High School, attended Delta State in Cleveland and graduated from Memphis State University. Until her last breath she was an avid UM Tiger fan. Margaret taught school in the Memphis City schools before retiring from Desoto Co. Schools. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and taught children’s Sunday school and Bible School. She was also a member of the Pleasant Hill Women’s Club and the Desoto Co. Republican Women. Margaret loved every minute of life. She is preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life Palmer Charles “Chuck” Schoenberg. She is survived by her parents, Blanche and David Edward Kilby, sisters Janice Kilby of Indianola, MS and Brenda Thames (Jimmy) of Jackson, MS. The visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, February 28, at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, located at 3787 Pleasant Hill Rd., Olive Branch, MS. The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 29, also at Pleasant Hill U.M.C. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis. Memorial contribution may be sent to Pleasant Hill U.M.C. – Building Fund.
