Margaret Alice Gray's Obituary
Margaret Alice (Sanders) Gray, 90, was born in Gold Dust, TN on December 30, 1928, and passed away January 19, 2019. She grew up in Lauderdale County and attended Gold Dust school until she needed to assist with her family’s income as many families did during the depression. She later completed her high school diploma at age 50.She worked at Ellis -Bagwell and later retired from Pempko Manufacturing at age 70. But her real joy was caring for her family, sewing, crocheting, gardening, canning and reading. There was always a craft project to complete.She was a faithful servant of Our Lord Jesus Christ. She spread His love to all whom she would meet.She was preceded in death by her husband, William Vernon Gray, her parents, Henry and Gertrude Sanders, her brothers Thomas and James Sanders and sister Jenny Faye O’Dell. But the most heartbreaking deaths were those of her sons, William and Randy Chapman. She leaves her son Darrell Chapman (Sharon) and daughter M. Diane Gorney (Tom), 7 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, January 22 and funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 23 at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
