Margaret Gravett Giusti's Obituary
Margaret Ann Gravett Giusti passed away peacefully at home Sunday, December 13, 2015, at the age of 97. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 72 years, Victor, son Jim (Dotty) of Memphis, daughter, Ann Bodnar (Mike) of Franklin, TN, eight grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Margaret was born in Piqua, Ohio to Warren and Elsie Fink Gravett. She graduated Western College for Women. In fall of 1942 she met a dashing young naval officer, Victor Giusti, and they were married on June 8, 1943 in Piqua. After finishing his naval service in New York City, they returned to Piqua where Vic began his long Engineering career with Robbins & Myers. In 1950, the family moved to Memphis when Robbins & Myers purchased Hunter Fan Company. Margaret taught English at Saint Mary’s School for several years. Margaret was a docent at Brooks Museum for many years and served as President of the Brooks League. She was active in Beaux Arts, loved playing bridge and gardening. The family joined Second Presbyterian Church in 1950 and were active members. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 PM Thursday, December 17th in the Music Room at Trezevant Manor, followed by a memorial service in the St. Edward Chapel at Trezevant Manor at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Trezevant Foundation, the Church Health center or a charity of your choice.
