Margaret Gardino's Obituary
Margaret Battistelli Gardino died on Friday, October 30, 2015. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee to Celeste and Joseph Battistelli on November 14, 1919 and is the last remaining child of her six siblings. She married Gerald John Gardino in 1938 and they had six children. Jerry and Margaret were lifetime members of Holy Rosary Parish. Over the years she was a homemaker and also worked alongside her husband at United Meats, Inc. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Jerry, son, Ronald, daughter, Margaret Vescovo, son-in-law, Melvyn Vescovo, and grandson, Stephen Gardino. She is survived by her sons, Gerald Gardino, Jr. (Linda), Dr. Robert Gardino (Anne) both of Memphis and her son Gene Gardino (Chris) of New York City and Mark Gardino, Providence, RI. She also leaves to cherish her memory seven grandchildren, Mel Vescovo (Daphne), Dianne Cramer (Mike), Keith (Amy), Kevin, Jeff (Corinne), Julie and Paul Gardino. She also leaves eight great-granddaughters, Rachael (Kirk) Brown, Jessica Vescovo, Erin Cramer, and Isabella, Annesley, Genevieve, Charlotte and Amelia Gardino. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the excellent care given to their Mother, “Bebaw”, by the dedicated workers at Ave Maria Nursing Home and Crossroads Hospice. Services will be Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Holy Rosary Church with visitation at 10:00 a.m. immediately followed by a Requiem Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
