Margaret V. Edwards' Obituary
Margaret V. Edwards, 86, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett after a massive stroke. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 67 years, Marvin R. Edwards and a sister, Shirley Blackwell of Farmville, VA. Mrs. Edwards was born on August 8, 1931, to Vernon and Annie Lee Vickery. She graduated from Coffeeville, MS High School. Mrs. Edwards attended Miller-Hawkins Business College in Memphis and over the years was employed by the Peabody Hotel, Binswanger Glass, and retired from Memphis Area Transit Authority in accounting. Her hobbies included needlepoint, crochet and sewing. The visitation will be held on Sunday, December 31st from 12pm until the time of service at 1pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Avenue in Memphis. The burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family wishes for memorial to be made in Mrs. Edwards name to Ellendale Baptist Church, 3861 Braodway Road, Bartlett, TN 38135 where she was a member.
