Margaret L. Anderson's Obituary
Margaret L. Anderson, 99, passed away November 14, 2014. She was born January 22, 1915, in Memphis, TN. She was the widow of Major Louis A. Anderson, U.S. Army, retired. Margaret was retired as church secretary of First Assembly of God Church, a post she held for 25 years. She had been a member of First Assembly for approximately 95 years. She leaves a niece who cared for her, Pat Knight (Ellis). She also leaves four nephews: Homer Lee (Gloria) of Memphis; Gene Lee (Mary Ann) of Pensacola, FL; Jim Wade (Gail) of Allen, TX; and Henry Wade (Kaye) of North Carolina. She also leaves two nieces: Linda Lambert (Gene) of Collierville and Tina Doddridge of Springfield, MO. Her funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 18 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery with a visitation one hour preceding the service. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be given to the First Assembly Christian School.Arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, “Behind the Stone Wall.”
