Marcy Byrd Doyle's Obituary
Marcy Byrd Doyle, 79, of Germantown passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 29, 2018, with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis “Clif” Doyle and siblings, Winnie Sue Dawson, Buddy Byrd, Wayne Byrd, and Bernie Byrd. Mrs. Doyle is survived by her children, Amy C. Doyle and Susan D. Fuller (Aaron); four grandchildren, Amanda Strawn (John), Rachel Hyneman, Emily Fuller and Daniel Fuller; five great-grandchildren, John Russell Strawn, Carter Strawn, Kennedy Strawn and Hudson Hyneman; and brother-in-law Col. Frank Dawson, four nephews, Steve Dawson, Gary Dawson, Bedford Byrd and Austin Byrd. Marcy was born April 10, 1939 in Pachuta, MS, later relocating to Memphis, TN as a child. She graduated from Treadwell High School and later attended Memphis State University. Marcy was an employee of American Airlines when she met her husband Clif. The two were later married in 1964 and relocated to Jonesboro, AR where they created and owned Arkansas Industrial Electric Supply. Marcy and Clif moved to Memphis in 1999 to be closer to family. Throughout life, she had an unwavering devotion to the Lord and the study of His scripture. At an early age, she quickly learned to play the piano by ear and frequently played hymns at family gatherings. Marcy will be lovingly remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, beloved sister, and caring friend. A Celebration of Marcy’s life with friends and family will be held on Wednesday, May 9, with the visitation beginning at 2:30 p.m. and the Celebration of life at 4 p.m. at The Orchard Church, 3690 S Houston Levee Rd, Collierville, TN 38017 (901) 316-5664.
