Marcus Maupin's Obituary
Marcus Layne Maupin, born January 27, 1972, passed away August 27, 2010. He was predeceased by his mother, Rochelle, and his sister, Cindi Maupin. He is survived by his father and step-mother, Layne and Ruthie Maupin; step-brothers Bryan and Rob Mayer; aunts Janet Morat (Mike), Georgeanne Ross (Freddie), Genise Lee (Phil) and Sheri Stoker; uncles Bobby (Diane), Roy (Susan), Bradford Maupin and David Meyers. He also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and passion for music. Marcus was a graduate of Germantown High School and the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. A graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery on Poplar at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday August 31st. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to The Regional Medical Center at Memphis or the Huntington’s Disease Society of America.
