Marcia Albin Brown's Obituary
Marcia Albin Howard Brown, age 59, passed away Monday, September 28, 2015 after a short illness. She is survived by her loving husband Harry “Dave” Brown; her sister Lisa Albin Felts (Tom); sister Kathy Albin DeFreece (Tom); her beloved nephews Tom, Miles, Garrett, and Connor; and nieces Kaleigh and Kelsey. She is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Barbara Albin. A native Memphian, she was a graduate of White Station High School. She earned her bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Memphis. She worked as a medical case manager for Genex Services. Her kindness and compassion towards others were contagious. She consistently put others needs over her own. She was a longtime resident and active member of Walnut Grove Lake Association. She was responsible for many wonderful years of the Walnut Grove Lake Fireworks. She was a past member and Princess of Ptah Carnival Krewe. Some of her favorite activities included: fishing, cruises, reading a good book on the beach, gardening, and playing cards, but her greatest passion was time spent with her family and friends. The memorial service will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home at 11:30 a.m., Friday, October 2. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday, October 1, also at Memorial Park. If you chose to honor Marcia by giving a memorial the family asks you give to the charity of your choice.
