Manette Page's Obituary
Manette Williams Page, age 83, left this world on October 20, 2015. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Jack; son, Tony Page; daughter, Monica Morris; sister, Dorothy Paul; grandchildren, Captain Trey Morris and Jillian Page plus numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Manette was born in Joliet, IL, March 5, 1932. She and her family moved to Pasadena, CA in 1937. She is a graduate of Mills College in Oakland, CA. She lived and worked in Pasadena until marrying Jack in 1956 and spent the rest of her life in Memphis and Germantown. Essentially a wonderful homemaker, she raised her children and supported her husband while, at various times, being active in the Girl Scouts, the American Association of University Women, the League of Women Voters, Stage Set at Theatre Memphis, the Suburban Garden Club and the Germantown Athletic Club. She was a faithful member of St. George’s Episcopal Church for 45 years. Since it was her desire to be cremated, a memorial service will be held at St. George’s on Saturday, October 24 at 2 p.m., preceded by visitation at 1 p.m. It was also her wish that friends and relatives contribute to their church or favorite charity in her memory in lieu of flowers.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis TN 38119.
