Mamie Yee Wong's Obituary
"Mamie Yee Wong was born on May 21, 1924, in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada. She had six siblings: five brothers (William, Richard, Hugh, Donald, and Ben) and one sister (Jeannie). Mamie married Jenkins Wong in Hong Kong in 1948 and completed her high school education in Macau. She proudly became a naturalized U.S. citizen on December 15, 1961. Mamie resided in Memphis, TN, where she was a member of the First Baptist Church. She and Jenkins had three children (Laura, Stephen, and David Hugh) and three grandchildren (Stephanie Elizabeth, Stephen Nathaniel, and Laura Michelle). She also had many cousins, nephews, and nieces with whom she shared many good times and created favorite memories. Mamie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Laura and John Dunavant, her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Paula Wong, as well as her grandchildren and their spouses, Stephanie and Taylor Loftin, Stephen and Bailie Wong, and Michelle and Mike Dunavant.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to All Saints' Episcopal Church at 1508 S. White Station Rd., Memphis, TN 38117."
