Magdalene Foltz's Obituary
MAGDALENE FOLTZ “Leni” 88, of Memphis, passed away in her sleep Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Baptist Memorial Hospital. She was a retired nurse, who graduated from Lutheran Hospital in St. Louis, MO, and practiced her profession at various hospitals in St. Louis as well as LaPorte, IN. She was a long time member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and participated in many of the activities of that congregation. Her greatest pride was the many years she spent on the staff and as a volunteer at the Immanuel Lutheran School. She was predeceased by her husband Jim, sister Rhoda and a brother Leonard. She is survived by a sister Dorothy Schaefer of Jefferson City, MO, and a sister Lois Sohn of Germantown. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, next of kin, and many friends who will miss her very much. A visitation will be at the Immanuel Lutheran Church at 6325 Raleigh LaGrange at 11 a.m. Monday. Services January 10 will follow at 1 p.m. with the interment at 2 p.m. in the West Tennessee Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, any memorials be sent to the Immanuel Lutheran Church and School, or a Charity of the donor’s choice.
