Mack B. Jester's Obituary
“Mack B.” Jester, 92, of Memphis passed away Sunday, October 6th surrounded by loving family. He was a devoted Father and Husband with love for God, Family and Country. He served his country in WW II in the Amphibious Army Engineers in the South Pacific, was long time charter member of White Station Church of Christ, spent many years in the dry cleaning business including Owner Operator of Jester’s Cleaners on Jackson Ave in Memphis then retiring from Harding Academy head of Housekeeping and Security. He was always known to have a smile on his face whistling everywhere he went ready to play the piano at any time. Preceding him in death was his devoted wife of 69 years Doris Massey Jester, father, Luther M. Jester, Mother Tommie W. Jester, and brothers, Thomas Jester and Dr. L.M. Jester. He is survived by his devoted son Reggie Jester and left with special memories of him are nephews, Gary L. Jester and wife Patricia, and Billy Cherry and wife Barbara. niece Donna Jester Warren and husband Stony and special cousin Glenda Kimball and husband Howard. Visitation will be on Friday, October 18th, at White Station Church of Christ Chapel, 1106 Colonial Rd., Memphis, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with the funeral to follow at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the White Station Church Of Christ Ministry, or favorite local charity.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, (901)767-8930, “Behind the Stone Wall”.
