Mac Vickers' Obituary
“Mac” James McCall Vickers. 45 passed away on Friday, April 17th.
He leaves 2 daughters, who were the light of his life, Caroline and Mary Taylor Vickers of Collierville, Tn. He also leaves his mother Jo Melton Vickers of Memphis; a sister Vicki Halsted ( Rick) of Olive Branch, Ms. another sister Lynn Barrasso of Memphis: Nieces Chelsea, Ariel,Olivia, Julie and Emily. Cousins Lauren, Lisa, Lori , Peter, Debbie, Jerry; as well as a multitude of dear friends too numerous to list. His 2 dogs Axle and Diesel.
Mac was the life of the party. His humorous personality was to the moon. His smile was infectious. His charm unmatched. So many of us were so privileged to share his 45 years of life with him and we will miss him immensely.
Mac graduated from Harding Academy and from Ole Miss and went on to get his masters degree from Vanderbilt University and voted there by his classmates as “Most Likely to Succeed.”
While attending Ole Miss he was president of his fraternity ATO. He also was a standout player and captain of the Ole Miss soccer team.
He was active and excelled in sports winning many honors for his activities in soccer, football, basketball, baseball and track.
Mac was one of a kind and will be greatly missed by family and 100’s of friends. RIP Mac.
