Lynelle Rhodes Shire Moore's Obituary
Mrs. Lynelle Moore age 72 of Cordova, Tennessee passed away on September 3, 2025 in Greenville, Mississippi.
She was born May 21, 1953, in Memphis, TN. She was soon adopted into the loving home of John and Willa Mae Rhodes.
Lynelle was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Carolyn Strickland, Cynthia Brown and Naomi Hudson.
She was nurtured in a Christian home. At an early age she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and was baptized at Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church. At the time of her death, she was a member of Neshoba Unitarian Universalist Church of Cordova, TN.
After a long and loving relationship, Lynelle entered into Holy Matrimony with Charles L. Moore II on December 16, 2022. Lynelle was also a Loving mother to Suleyman and Hadiya Shire.
Lynelle retired from the Minneapolis Minnesota School System as a social worker.
She will be deeply missed by everyone who was blessed enough to know her. Her impact and sweet spirit will always be remembered. We will certainly miss that sweet smile and those dimples!
Lynelle leaves to mourn her, her devoted husband Charles Leon Moore II of Cordova, TN; her son Suleyman Shire of Bloomington, MN; her daughter Hadiya Saeed Shire of Minneapolis, MN; her sister Phyllis Gales of Memphis, TN; her brother Robert Gales of Memphis, TN; her mother-in-law Affolonia M. Moore of Greenville, MS; her sisters-in-law Janis Y. Moore and Iris M. McGee (Carl) of Greenville, MS; her brothers-in-law Gregory L. Moore of Cypress, TX and Stanley L. Moore of Greenville, MS and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services for Mrs. Lynelle will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025 at 2:00pm in the Fireside Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Gathering will be held an hour prior to the service from 1:00pm to 2:00pm.
