Lyndle Parks' Obituary
Lyndle Earl Parks USNR, 96, of Memphis, TN, passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2018. Mr. Parks retired from the Navy after 25 years in 1964 as Chief Petty Officer E-8. Mr. Parks served during WWII and the Korean War. After retirement he continued to work on and fly airplanes through Hi Aire. To all his fishing buddies, “Good night Mr. Parks.” He was preceded in death by his wife, Kennie G. Parks, his parents, Cecil and Arpie Parks, three children, and seven siblings. Survived by two sisters, Betty Lynn Vowell (Quinton), Claudine Parks, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until the service time at 11:30 a.m., Monday, July 23, at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial donations in Mr. Parks honor may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
