Lucy West's Obituary
Lucy Bateman West was born July 14,1942, in Moscow Tn. She was preceded in death by her son, Steve West, her parents, Willie and Elvira Bateman, also three sisters, Juanita Gammons, Florine Chunn, and Betty Doyle, four brothers, Vernon Bateman, Bill Bateman, Walter Lee Bateman and Percy Bateman.
She is survived by two grandchildren, Celia West and Jackson West, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Lucy carried many titles in her life; Mom, Maw, Aunt, Sister and many called her friend. Lucy was an associate at Memorial Park for twenty years and in those years ministered to many people in the darkest moments of their life. The impression she made on others are immeasurable. She was always ready to give a hug and encouraging words to those in need. The greatest joys in her life were her son, Steve, and her grandchildren.
Lucy's personality was one that will not be easily forgotten. She was strong, resolute, and honorable. She was strength to her family. Her family finds complete comfort in knowing she is celebrating, rejoicing and completely healed in her eternal home in heaven with her Lord and Savior. Lucy Bateman West, you will never be forgotten.
Mrs. West's visitation will be held Sunday, September 8, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, September 9, 2024 at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
