Lucille Ricca Kretzer's Obituary
Lucille Ricca Kretzer, age 83, passed away on February 24, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank P. Ricca, Sr., formerly of New Orleans, and her husband, Elmer Kretzer. She is survived by her four children, Lou and Frank (Peggy) Kretzer, Lucy Fox, and Cindy Pagliari (Terry); her brothers, Frank P. Ricca, Jr. and Edison Ricca of Bonita Springs, FL; her grandsons, Nicholas Pagliari (Carmen) of Nashville, and Michael Pagliari of Memphis; and her two great-grandchildren, Arlo and Sonny Pagliari of Nashville. Lucille was born and raised in New Orleans, attended and graduated from Maryville University in St. Louis. While away at college, she met her husband who was attending Washington University. They subsequently married in 1951 and moved to Memphis, where they raised their family. Lucille also spent many hours as a volunteer for the Madonna Learning Center. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, February 26 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, February 27 at St. Louis Catholic Church, where she was a communicant for many years. Burial will immediately follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Poor Sisters of Saint Clare, Madonna Learning Center, or a charity of choice.Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119,”Behind the Stone Wall.”
