Lucille T. Baker's Obituary
Lucille T. Baker of Germantown, TN, was born March 2, 1928, in Lula, Mississippi. She passed peacefully on the morning of April 23, 2026. Lucille was a graduate of Belhaven College in Jackson, Mississippi, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Art. Her talent for drawing portraits and landscapes was admired by many over the years, and she left behind a remarkable collection that will be treasured for generations to come.
She had a deep love for decorating and all the finer things in life — from searching out the perfect antique and giving furniture new life, to preparing elaborate spreads for the dozens of guests she welcomed at her beloved Christmas parties year after year. Her family will fondly remember her insistence that her hair was never out of place and that her lipstick was always on — right up until she was no longer able. She was a diva, and she wore that title beautifully.
Her greatest loves were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by many, and her memory will always be treasured. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, James L. and Pia Mullener of Friars Point, Mississippi; her husband of 60 years, William Baker; and her sister, Marie McWhirter. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Heath; her son, William Baker and his wife Rena; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held for family at Memorial Park.
